Mary Ryan Gallery is a member of the Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA) and a founding member of the International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA). Among its roster of international artists and important estates, the gallery deals in Post-War and Contemporary art, including Minimalism, Abstract Expressionism, Pop art, and early 20th-century British and American artists, with a particular emphasis on the Grosvenor School and British Modernists, Provincetown Printers, and American radical political art of the 1920s through 1940s. Since its founding in 1981, Mary Ryan Gallery has mounted hundreds of exhibitions and currently organizes several solo exhibitions per year. In between solo exhibitions, rotating selections of works on paper are on view at our Chelsea location. The gallery has also published numerous catalogs and limited-edition prints with artists including Yvonne Jacquette, Laurent de Brunhoff, Donald Sultan, and May Stevens. Mary Ryan Gallery is active in the primary and secondary market, focusing on original prints and works on paper by Post-War and Contemporary artists such as Emma Amos, Louise Bourgeois, Willem de Kooning, Richard Diebenkorn, David Hockney, Donald Judd, Deborah Kass, Alex Katz, Ellsworth Kelly, Sol LeWitt, Roy Lichtenstein, Robert Longo, Brice Marden, Michael Mazur, Joan Mitchell, Jean Pagliuso, Kiki Smith, and Wayne Thiebaud. The gallery represents the estates of Jean de Brunhoff, Hugo Gellert, Eli Jacobi, Louis Lozowick, Ethel Mars, and Maud Hunt Squire.
