For more than fifteen years, our gallery has distinguished itself in the contemporary art world by the production each year of several multiples, artist’s books and original artworks with French and international artists. Throughout our history, we have collaborated with more than 40 young or establish artists. Each production is the fruit of an encounter with the artist. We seek to present artworks that take a particular and singular place in the artist's body of work, responding to a desire to present a specific and original artwork that opens the way to the exploration of new territories or mediums.

For this edition of IFPDA, Galerie 8+4 have chosen to exhibit a set of recent productions testifying to diverse practices of art printing that question the actuality of the image in our world.
If Lionel Sabatté imagines a contemporary parietal art with the monotype technique, Claire Trotignon deploys floating landscapes printed in silkscreen or composed from collages of old engravings, Vera Molnar a series of abstract cyanotypes, her first photograms, and Guiseppe Penone a series of intaglio engravings restoring the music of trees, all have in common a form of doubt on the nature of the image and the need to reenchant it.
Faithful to its policy of experimentation, Gallery 8 + 4 will put forward sets of works resulting from the exploration by these 4 artists of new territories or original mediums. All of these original projects with recognized international artists constitute as many openings in their practices and should amaze and surprise the public of American collectors.
