Lower East Side Printshop is a state-of-the-art printmaking studio and exhibition space supporting contemporary artists of all creative backgrounds regardless of career level. The Printshop provides studio space as well as educational, technical, and financial support. With its exhibitions, and public programming, the Printshop serves as a junction for artists, collectors, museums, galleries, and educational institutions to access and engage in contemporary art.

The Publishing Residency is awarded to artists with compelling artistic vision to create new editions in collaboration with the Printshop’s staff. Nominated by a broad group of invited artists and art professionals, and selected by the Printshop, artists have full support from printers on projects that expand the boundaries of printmaking. Works presented at the IFPDA Print Fair online booth were created during these residencies in recent years.
