Welcome to Georgina Kelman :: Works on Paper specializing in original prints, drawings and watercolors circa 1850-1950, with an emphasis on pieces by French artists. I have been working in the world of prints and illustrated books since 1989 and for the past sixteen years as a private dealer in New York City. My passion lies in the discovery of less well known but marvelous graphics illustrating fine design and technique from ephemera to master works. It has been a most fabulous voyage and I have had the good fortune to connect with many wonderful collectors and institutions along the way. I hope you enjoy browsing this selection and please feel free to contact me with any questions or special requests. I look forward to hearing from you.

I invite you to take a step back in time to Europe in the late 19th and early 20th century, the heart of La Belle Epoque to the beginning of Modernism, as seen through the eyes of such exemplary artists as James Tissot, George Bottini and Peter Ilsted. Each piece presented here is intended to evoke the elegance and energy of this bygone era, chosen for quality and appeal to both the beginning collector and the experienced aficionado.
