Cristofano Robetta, Allegory of the Power of Love, with a man at center embracing a semi-naked woman, who is bound to a tree by Cupid

Powered-by-Black-type-white-background.p

"The first Florentine engraver who signed many prints, Cristofono Robetta concluded the sweet grace of the early Florentine Renaissance as he imitated Filippino Lippi's febrile, mannered figures, often setting them against a landscape copied from Durer's engravings."
-from A. Hyatt Mayor, Prints and People, MMA 1971
