Galerie Boisserée | Cologne

Galerie Boisserée, founded 1838 in Cologne, Germany, is one of the oldest art galleries in Europe. Nowadays, the gallery's portfolio consists of works form the course of the 20th Century and some contemporary positions. Amongst collectors, the gallery is well-known for its expertise for the printmaking artworks by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró or Georges Braque. Works form the Informel and the British as well as American Pop Art are also an important part of the program. The gallery is also a valued address for printmaking artworks by Alex Katz, Tom Hammick or Julian Opie. Galerie Boisserée shows upto six solo or group exhibitions a year and takes part in internationally renowned art fairs like Art Cologne or IFPDA fair. With its this-year’s IFPDA fair participation, the gallery shows a solo show with reduction woodcuts from the very poetic work of British artist Tom Hammick who is currently an artist in residence at the Josef and Anni Albers Foundation in Bethany. The show is completed by a presentation of the program of the gallery with outstanding printmaking works by renowned artists such as Josef Albers, Donald Judd, Pablo Picasso or Andy Warhol.
