Shapero Modern | London

Founded in 2014 and led by Tabitha Philpott-Kent, our London-based gallery specialises in post-war and contemporary prints and works on paper, proudly offering professional art advisory services to both seasoned collectors and those considering purchasing their first printed edition.

Our primary focus lies in American 20th-century art, with a curated selection of eminent artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Frank Stella, Robert Indiana, and Pablo Picasso. You will find our gallery in the heart of London’s prestigious Mayfair area, as well as at international art fairs, including TEFAF Maastricht, Frieze Masters, and more.

With six exhibitions each year, our gallery is a place that inspires collectors and first-time buyers alike, offering an ideal selection for both art collection and interior decoration. Come and visit us to explore a diverse range of the most iconic post war and contemporary prints, multiples, and works on paper.

Shapero Modern is excited to be returning to New York for the 31st IFPDA Print Fair this February. The Gallery will be show-casing the iconic screenprint ‘Details of Renaissance Paintings (Sandro Botticelli, Birth of Venus, 1482)’ by the titan of the Pop Art movement, Andy Warhol. As far as Warhol was concerned, there was no figure more famous in the history of art than Sandro Botticelli's masterpiece ‘The Birth of Venus’ (c. 1484–1486). Similar to the image of Marilyn Monroe, ‘Venus’ is internationally recognised and for centuries her image has been reproduced across the world, making her a perfect emblem of fame for Warhol to capture.

In addition to this powerful Pop Art piece, Shapero Modern will be showing a vibrant collection of printed editions by Keith Haring, Pablo Picasso and the great female Abstract Expressionist, Helen Frankenthaler, to include a particularly fine unique acrylic on paper, 'Orient Express #6', by Frankenthaler.

Join us in a celebration of prints and printmaking at the Park Avenue Armory from Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th February.
