MixografÃa specializes in publishing three-dimensional prints on handmade paper in close collaboration with artists. By employing a non-traditional approach, the workshop continues to expand the creative possibilities of printmaking.
Â
Originally founded by Luis and Lea Remba in Mexico City in 1969 as Taller de Gráfica Mexicana, it would later become MixografÃa when it relocated to Los Angeles in 1983.
Â
Since then, more than 90 of the world’s most distinguished artists have collaborated with the workshop in a diverse array of projects resulting in the publication of more than 700 editions. The gallery space maintains a program of exhibitions dedicated to showing this exceptional work.
Today, the workshop, directed by Shaye Remba, continues to attract major national and international artists. Through its dedication and desire to set new standards of graphic art, MixografÃa has enriched the Los Angeles artistic community and reached audiences all over the world.
